You bought the connector. Why is somebody still in Excel every day?

PSP connectors and payment matching add-ons for Business Central get the files in. That was never the hard part. The hard part is the entries that do not match, who is allowed to change the logic, and how long a new payout format takes. If your automatic rate settled somewhere in the sixties and stopped, this page is about why.

Keep what you have running. Compare on the same three days of files.

Five questions worth asking whoever sold you the current setup

Ask them about us too. These are the questions that separate a file importer from something that actually clears your ledger.

1

Can I read the matching rules, in a sentence, without opening code?

If the logic lives in a configuration screen only a consultant understands, you cannot improve it, and it will sit at whatever rate it was set up at. Rules you can read are rules you can fix.

2

When a payment does not match, does it tell me what came closest?

"Unmatched" is not an answer. The useful version names the two nearest open entries, the amount difference, the day difference, and which of your own rules ruled them out. That turns a twenty-minute hunt into a ten-second read.

Compare:
✕No matching open entry found.
✓SO12349 is the exact amount but 40 days out and your rule allows 2. SO12361 is yesterday but 80,00 apart.
3

How long until a new payout format works, and what does it cost?

You will add a payment method this year. If that is a change request with a quote and a release window, the answer is months. Reading an unfamiliar file is exactly what AI is good at, and it should cost you nothing but the upload.

4

What happens to it at the next release wave?

An add-on that holds your matching logic inside Business Central is something to retest twice a year, and something your partner may need to touch every time a rule changes. On a connected plan Kvitta installs one small app that writes journals. The rules stay in Kvitta, so changing one is an edit you make rather than a change to your Business Central.

5

Does every decision I make get remembered as a rule?

This is the whole game. A tool that asks the same four questions every day is a tool that will never get past two thirds. One that captures each answer keeps improving on your own data, without a project.

Where a connector stops and Kvitta starts

Typical BC add-on
Kvitta
Scope
Often part of a payments suite, such as the PSP import in Continia Banking
Accounts receivable reconciliation only
Getting the files in
Solved
Solved, and it recognises the source itself
Matching logic
Configured once, by a partner
Rules in plain sentences, edited by you
Unmatched entries
A list to work through by hand
Nearest candidates, the gap, and a chat to resolve it
New payout format
Change request
Upload three days of it as a format request
Inside your BC environment
Usually an extension
Nothing on the free plan. One small app on a connected plan, kept current by us
Duplicate import
A warning, if you are lucky
Refused, naming the journal it already produced
Setup
An implementation project
By yourself, on the free plan
Fair warning: if your current add-on is clearing ninety percent and nobody keeps a spreadsheet, you do not need us. Keep it.
Switching, honestly

You do not have to turn anything off to find out

Run the same three days through both. Compare the automatic rate, the exception list and the minutes. Keep whichever wins. No matching logic goes into Business Central, so there is nothing to undo.

A parallel week
1Create a workspace and drop three days of files
2Approve or edit the rules Kvitta proposes from your own data
3Compare the two exception lists side by side
4Post from whichever one you trust

Switching questions

Do we have to remove our current add-on?

No. Kvitta reads open customer ledger entries and hands back a journal, so it can run alongside anything for as long as you like.

Can we bring our existing matching rules across?

Usually you do not need to. Kvitta proposes rules from three days of your files, and they tend to be the same rules written more plainly. Send your current configuration if you have it and we will check nothing is missed.

Is the pricing per transaction?

No. One price per company, unlimited files and users, so a good sales month does not cost you more to reconcile.

Where does the AI sit in this?

It writes the rules and explains the failures. It never decides which invoice a payment settles. Matching stays deterministic, which is the only way an audit conversation goes well.
